Double Round Robin Tournament Jan. 4, 2015 (19)
An enthusiastic group of 13 players got plenty of matches from 8-10 matches on a busy Sunday at the AT & T Sports Pavilion. Both Singles and Doubles matches allowed some competitive games. -
NATT Teams, Alaskan Assassins in D.C. 2014 (38)
With past experience from the NATT Teams dating back to 1989 the Alaskan Assassins were prepared to take on the diversity of players at one of the largest tournaments in the world. About 840 players, and 256 teams on 153 tables over 3 days on Thanksgiving weekend in Washington D.C. -

The Alaskans braved the wet and cool weather at the downtown park strip in an fun outdoor tournament on the Concrete table. -

New in the summer of 2013, installed by the Anchorage Park Foundation and located off Minnesota Dr. near West 35th Ave. The table with the steel net has gained some drop by players. Come join us in 2014 on most Wednesday nights from 7P until as late at 11PM. -
Alaska Yukon Challenge 2014 (71)
The annual fellowship exchange between Yukon Canada and Alaska was a great success. From moving tables, setting up the gym, preparing the food, organizing the draw and matches. The FITT club set the bar high for "outstanding" hospitality and fun. Along with some exciting handicap scoring play there were many tough fought matches. -
Arctic Winter Games Team Alaska 2014 (20)
8 athletes and 2 coaches for table tennis in the Arctic Winter Games in Fairbanks, AK from March 15-22, 2014. Representitives from Alaska have participated since 1970 with the 1st AWG in Anchorage, AK. -

Fall Open and AWG Team Tryouts Tournament (34)
A full event of singles and doubles for juniors and adults held on October 19th on the new wood floor of the AT & T Sports Pavilion. 10 divisions with 33 entries from various locations in Alaska. -
Boyd Bennett Turns 85 years old, 1st AWG coach in 1970 (41)
A small group of Eagle River players and family to Boyd Bennett help celebrate his 85th Birthday at his "Ping Pong" Parlor. A custom rec room large enough to allow 2 tables with 12' behind. Joined by daughter Linda (Bennett) Murphy, (1982 AWG junior team player), wife, Shirley Bennett and grandson, Brant Bennett. Plus ERTTC local Andy Hutzel, AKTTC member Karl Augestad, Kyle Yan and Paul Elliott. -

1st Annual Minnesota Park Ping Pong Tournament (99)
Monday August 19, 2013 at the Minnesota Park at 36th & Minnesota Dr. in Anchorage. An outdoor concrete TT table in a park once that was a fenced in tennis court. 32 entries from various quads of Anchorage. Spectators welcome. -
Will Shortz Visit to Alaska June 2013 (34)
Alaska hosted NY visitors Will Shortz (NY Times Crossword Puzzle Editor & NPR Puzzle Master) and Robert Roberts. Here June 5-12 in various towns in our great state. The AKTTC visits fall and spring quarters at various PE classes and offers an educational experience and demo for the students. Chugiak High School has invited Karl Augestad and members of the ATTC to demonstrate, instruct and reinforce the rules of the game. Industrial strength rackets! -
Jerry Smith, Alaskan sportsman and Alaskan table tennis hall of fame member (21)
Jerry Smith is honored as the representative of sportsmanship in Alaskan Table Tennis. A core member of the Fairbanks Interior Table Tennis club he was active and eager to help build the sport. His loss has been felt for years and we are honored to salute him memory for future generations. Huntsman World Senior Games 2012 (32)
Ten Alaskans traveled to St. George, UT to participate in the 26th annual Huntsman World Senior Games. One of the most exciting, fun and memorable tournaments I have experience in my 38 year experience of table tennis tournaments. -

Korean Community Table Tennis Tournaments (47)
The annual Korean community sports events occur every August in Anchorage. The AKTTC rents tables, barriers, scoreboards and provides balls for their competitive activity since 2006. -
America's Team, Rockford, IL (53)
The Alaskan Assassins competed in a action packed team event over Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-27, 2012. Four divisions of diverse teams with plenty of excitement. -

Mr.Noh-Woo from Korea (8)
Visiting Korean Airline pilot Mr. Noh-woo came in Oct. 2011 & May 2012. A strong steady player who gives us in Alaska a reality check. His coach has excelled his skill from a level 4 to level 2 player in his home region back home. He first visited in 2010. Another notable player is Mr. Ha. Also a Korean Airline pilot. -

Big Ball 44mm Frost Spin Session April 4, 2012 (9)
Another unusual session with the famed 44mm oversized TT ball. Popular in Japan for seniors and beginner players. The larger ball floats slow with a short bounce and arch. Yet striking the ball it sounds "CRACKED". Takes some time to adjust but great rallies and FUN for all. Most liked the change. -
Hard Bat Frost Spin Session March 29, 2012 (8)
All participants were issued "Classic Hardbat paddles" And for those not familiar with the game... this is old school pippled bats with NO SPONGE. Loud clacking and game scores to 21 points serving 5 points each. Actually lots of fun for all who attended. Topped by Karl Augestad in a battle against Kyle in the finals. -
New Donic Tables (5)
A few shots taken in the excitement after assembly. On Monday President's day we will build the 2nd table and take better shots. Faster surface, smooth, heavy and a pleasure. Since Chidi and I assembled this one in 1.5 hours we got to play on it. Come check it out. We may let you touch it! If you help build the 2nd one you can play on it. At least until 2/23/12. -
Frost Spin League (32)
Photos after 2/2/12. Often people would see us play at the ATTSP and ask us if we were in a League? I would say no but now we can all show off at any level. A, B & C skill players play weekly from Feb. 2 to April 26th. Check out the pics. Lots of fun! -
UAA Table Tennis Tourneys 2008-2012 (33)

Eagle River Table Tennis Club (19)
Hosted at the home of Boyd Bennett, the founder of the Anchorage Table Tennis Club back in 1967. He built his home with table tennis in mind. Above his garage is room for 2 tables. Great for training & weekly practice. Come out and meet Boyd & join the fun. At 83 Boyd still has a mean backhand flick. -
AT & T SP 1/13/12 record turnout (26)
Record Turnout of nearly 30 players for a Friday night at the AT&T Sports Pavilion. Lots of new young players, With only 8 tables the action was full, even late comers till 11:30PM. Sport facility host an indoor soccer field & 4 hard courts. -
Anchorage Table Tennis 1976 style (12)
In 1976 the Arctic Winter Games was hosted in Schefferville, Quebec, Canada. I was honored to be on the junior team competing in an international table tennis competition. What an eye opening experience. I came back with 2 silver and 1 bronze Ulus. NATT TEAMS 2011 Best (113)
Nov. 25-27, 2011 at Baltimore, MD. 145 tables in the Convention hall with nearly 1000 players on 200 teams. Alaskans: Andy Hutzel, Kyle Yan & Karl Augestad attended on two teams. Best shots from 600 images. -

2008 Senior Games, Fairbanks, AK (47)
Open to athletes 50 years & over. Grouped in 5 year increments 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 etc. Hosted by the Fairbanks Interior Table Tennis. Fun tournament, top winners in each age group are eliageble for the National Senior Games held every 2 years. 2008 qualifies for 2009 games. -
Winter Recreation & Sports Trade Show (15)
Sponsored by Aurora Productions the ATTC was able to set up a "half" table along the prime walkway at the Sullivan Arena. Challenge matches to players with the "mini" paddle. Demos were performed when crowds gathered. Info about the club and events. Met one of our top Alaskan Champions, Haitham Salman one year. -
API Gym hosts ATTC in 2000 (8)
Over the years the Anchorage Table Tennis club has meet at various locations in town. This is the Alaska Psychiatric Hospital Gym. Although it is a mental hospital the patients and staff rarely were around when our club met there for over 6 years. Beautiful gym with wood floor and lots of space. -
